Day 20

Posted: September 20, 2011 in Zombie Days

If you think that you are totally prepared for the apocalypse, and have your bunker stocked with food, water and weapons, what will you do if you have a overwhelming craving for a MoonPie? Will you risk your life and the lives of the people in your group for some sweet chocolate heaven? I would expect that if you are confined in an area with friends or family for a long enough time facing many crazed ZOMBIES to get some space, resources and quiet time will feel like a vacation. When constructing your bunker you should plan to have at least two access areas so you have options for an exit if ZOMBIES are thick at one entrance. I would run with a maximum of a four man team, cover your 6 and know what you are going in for, and then get the hell out fast and quiet. Plan to have multiple fall back points if things go south when out acquiring resources. Make sure you have fully charged radios with earpieces, if you don’t have them available practice, and use military tactical hand signals so that if you run across a squared away crew while out in the mess, you will be able to communicate with them from a distance.  If you wife sends you out for something stupid you might want to rethink your situation, you should only take risks if the reward outweighs death. If grabbing a MoonPie and a few minutes away is worth it…. roll out hot.

DON’T BE DISTRACTED BY THE BRIGHT SHINY OBJECT
