Day 11

Posted: July 22, 2011 in Zombie Days

Location, Location, Location…I live near an island smack dab in the middle of the Detroit River, the current around the river is fast and unless you cross one of the two bridges you will need a boat to access the island. This situation offers a great opportunity to isolate the area from the rest of the chaos. The residents can lift the two draw bridges, and secure themselves from the world, and focus on self-containment.  If you have the opportunity move to a location now so that when something happens you will already be setup. Whatever you do refuse to reveal your resources to your neighbors or friends, because when things get crazy they will be coming for you.

  1. Shawn says:

Man do you really think something is going to happen soon. I have found your site by accident. Keep the information coming!

  2. Thanks Shawn, will do…be ready my man…

  3. ZS-The prob with setting up too long in any one area is it attracts unwanted attention, and like in Sam’s Club, while the Island is a great defense from Zombies, it becomes a trap when any larger force comes a long intent on taking what you have…As a temporary staging or resupply point either would do marvelous though…

  4. larkwri says:

I would call islands near to mainland a “dead end”. Somewhere in the pacific, no problem but a little island in the middle of a river… you have problems with humans (want to occupy it), zombies (want to eat you and come from underwater) and water (maybe contaminated)
